Can I sue my doctor for birth defects?

Sometimes birth defects are due to things beyond human control, like genetic birth defects. Other times, however, birth defects can be caused by the negligence of a medical professional, whether that's in the failure to properly diagnose or improper delivery. Sometimes the negligence of a physician can directly cause a birth defect. If you believe that your child sustained a birth defect due to the negligence of a medical professional, it's imperative that you talk to an attorney who's experienced in handling these type of cases. The fact is, that not only are you bring the case or investigating the case for yourself, but you're investigating the case for your child. Unfortunately, under Florida law, if the parent doesn't prosecute the case, the child is left without recourse.
