If you've been involved in an accident and you've sustained damage to your motor vehicle, you can choose the repair shop that you would like to go to. However, sometimes your insurance company has preferred body shops that they work with and they may offer you to use their body shops with an incentive that it's easier to deal with that body shop because they have a relationship with your insurance company but, yes, you can choose your own body shop that you'd like to go to and get your vehicle fixed.
